Popularity of cruises 'boosts Turkish coastal property market'

The growing popularity of cruises and yachting has pushed up the property market in coastal areas of Turkey, it has been claimed.

According to Quest Turkey Property and Lifestyle Magazine, the weather and the "stunning coastline" are good reasons to purchase homes in the country and many resorts offer good access and facilities, such as modern marinas with "breathtaking views".

"The marinas offer potential for economic growth and jobs, thus pushing up demand for homes in the area and increasing rental potential," the news source suggested.

Highlighting the attractions of marina living, the article profiled a number of potential locations for property purchases in Turkey, including Gocek, Kas and Didim-Altinkum, which has a large marina featuring upmarket shops, restaurants, a planned golf course and views across the southern Aegean.
